Thank you for your interest in LA Spring Professional Development Tour. Participants will be selected based on cover letter and resume, which needs to be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. UO PRSSA dues-paying members have priority. If selected, participants are required to pay a nonrefundable $60 fee, which includes the hotel and logistical costs.
The tour is an overnight trip from May 16-18, 2018. UO PRSSA will arrange hotel lodgings, site visits and provide guidance on ground transportation. Participants will be responsible for their own class absences as flights will leave Eugene Wednesday, May 16 in the afternoon and return Friday, May 18 in the late evening.
PLEASE NOTE: Participants must arrive Wednesday night, no later than 10 p.m. at the hotel. The tour is will end by 5 p.m. on Friday, so flights cannot leave earlier than 7:30 p.m. (preferably later) to ensure getting to the airport on time, due to heavy LA Friday night traffic. Participants are required to attend all UO PRSSA planned site visits during the trip.
The application closes March 25. Participants who were selected will be notified April 2. If selected, you MUST purchase your flight as proof you are committed to going no later than April 9. Please note that participants will be responsible for their own flights, meals and cost of uber / metro rides.
PLEASE plan ahead for the MANDATORY meeting on Wednesday, May 9 at 7 p.m.
Questions can be directed to UO PRSSA Vice President Maggie Beyer, at email@example.com.

PRSSA Professional Development Tours offer students the opportunity to travel and visit various PR agencies and in-house work settings. In the past, we have visited agencies in Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. These tours allow students to hear from various PR industry professionals, expand their professional networks and get their questions answered.
In recent years we have visited Providence Health and Services, Allison+Partners, Edelman, Maxwell PR + Engagement, CMD, Matter Communications, WE Communications and Microsoft.
All students are encouraged to apply for Professional Development Tours, however, PRSSA members have priority. Application periods and tour dates are announced each term – you can find information and applications for upcoming tours at the top of this page. Please keep in mind that costs for transportation, hotel, food and other expenses are dependent on the location of the tour.
